Saturday my hubby and I visited the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond VA. It was our first time there even though we have lived in this area for 11 years now. I really wanted to see the Butterfly Live! exhibit so we spent the day together having lunch, touring the grounds, and enjoying the butterflies in the sweltering greenhouse. It is amazing the colors of the butterflies and how some are vibrant while others are camouflaged. Then we saw one that was the size of a large grape and another one the size of my palm (I have small hands). There was a blue one which evaded my camera but the color was so beautiful words cannot describe.
I am going to just use my entry today to photo journal our time in the greenhouse. Enjoy and if you are in this area, I highly recommend you take in the show!
I tried to capture as many as I could. It was hot and humid in the enclosure and we were drenched when we left but it was worth it.
Creating. Inspiring. Gardening without the rules!
Note: I hope I did not repeat too many pictures. I do not know the names but that is okay because they are all beautiful!
